St. Peter's Catholic Primary School embodies a life and mission centered around the teachings of Christ. Our school's guiding principle is that 'Christ is at the Centre' of everything we do. This focus is reflected in our school's ethos, curriculum, and day-to-day activities, which aim to foster both the intellectual and spiritual development of the children at St. Peter's. Every classroom and activity is an opportunity to bring Christ's love, compassion, and wisdom into the lives of the pupils.
St. Peter’s Catholic Primary School is not only a place of learning but a place where faith is nurtured, lived, and shared. The Catholic Life and Mission are truly embedded in the culture, where every person in our community is called to love and serve others, live out their faith, and grow in their relationship with God.
The pupils know, understand, and live out our Mission Statement 'Loving and learning together, with Jesus'. They show their 'love' for one another through their words and actions inspired by scripture. They 'learn' how to grow in their Faith like our Saint, Peter. The pupils stand 'together' as a community with everyone included as Jesus modelled for us. Ultimately, 'with Jesus', walking along side us and at the centre of everything we do. As our Mission Statement tells a story, our pupils value it greatly and embrace it to the full through active participation. This is revealed by how all of pupils, but particularly our Year 6 leavers model a core set of values and skills and have the ability to spiritually reflect on their St Peter's journey as part of the local and universal church.
