Friends
The Friends of St Peter's School is a group of people including parents, parishioners and others. Every parent automatically becomes a member of the Friends when their child joins the school. The Friends organise and run numerous social events during the course of the year with a view to strengthening links within the school community and raising much needed funds to help the school. In recent years, the Friends have funded a new school library, iPads for the children, the replacement of ICT equipment, the design and construction of a science sensory garden, the provision of an all seasons outdoor play area for children in Reception, a new stage for the hall and a new PA system. In addition, they have subsidised or covered the cost of employing providers of external workshops that broaden and enrich the curriculum. They also make a contribution to the governors each year to cover the 10% liability for capital works.
