Foster an interest in learning other languages.
Introduce children to another language in a way that is enjoyable and fun.
Stimulate and encourage children’s curiosity about language.
Encourage children to be aware that language has structure and that the structure differs from one language to another.
Help the children develop their awareness of cultural differences in other countries.
Understand French language from different sources, both spoken and written, and be able to respond to these.
Grow in their confidence to speak in French, working on their fluency and refining the precision of their pronunciation and intonation, and having the skills to find different ways to communicate what they want to say.
Apply their understanding of different grammatical structures to write for different purposes and audiences
