Parking at The King's Head in Southend Road is managed by Euro Car Parks.

How the Parking System Works

• All vehicles parked on site must be registered inside the pub.
• Once a registration number is entered, parking is valid for that calendar day only (00:01 to 23:59), regardless of the time of entry.
• This means that if a registration is entered at any time during the day, it will cover parking for the entire day.

Daily Use for Parents

Parents are welcome to use the car park; however:

• Parking is strictly for paying customers only.
• To validate parking, parents must enter the pub and make a purchase each day they wish to use the car park.
• Entering the pub solely to input a registration number, without making a purchase, is not permitted.

If we observe this misuse (including children being sent in to register vehicles), we will remove the registration from our system, which will result in a parking charge being issued.

Weekly “Coffee & Cake” Parking Offer

We offer a weekly option designed specifically for parents:

• When: Mondays, 8:30am – 9:00am
• Cost: £12
• Includes:
   
  • A slice of cake
  • Unlimited tea and coffee (with takeaway options available)
  • Free parking for the entire week

Parking exemptions are applied immediately, allowing parents to come and go freely throughout the week without needing to register daily.

Grace Period and Enforcement

• There is a 10-minute grace period for vehicles on site.
• Any stay exceeding this period without valid registration will result in a parking charge notice.
• These charges are enforced by Euro Car Parks and must be paid.
• If queried, proof of purchase will be required. We are unable to overturn fines where the terms have not been followed.

Important Notes

• If parents plan to return later in the day (e.g. for food or drinks), they should only register their vehicle at the time of their visit, not earlier.
• The system will still cover their parking for the full day once registered.
